What is Pay Per Minute software?

Pay Per Minute (PPM) software is a type of chat room software that allows you to set up your own pay-per-minute chat rooms, where members can log in and talk for as long or short as they like, but only pay when they are actually talking. This means that the more time you spend chatting, the more money you make!

How does Pay Per Minute Chat software work?

It’s really quite simple: You simply create an account and then go through a simple registration process. Once registered, you will be able to create your own profile and share links on social media, your website, or in emails and direct messages. Alternatively, create your own paid chat widget for your website. (Installation’s as simple as copying and pasting a few lines of code!)

How do you set up Pay Per Minute Chat software?

The common steps are:

  • Start by signing up for an account on your chosen platform.
  • Create widgets for your website covering the paid chat topics you’ll offer. No website? Simply share your profile URL instead.
  • Copy and paste the HTML code for your widget to your website, and/or promote your profile URL on social media.
  • Set your rates. You’re free to choose between per-minute and flat fees. You can even set different fees for video chat and text chat, or for different chat topics.
  • Set your availability. Work when you want. Simply set your availability to ‘Online’ or ‘Offline’, or create a schedule to set your availability automatically.
  • Accept or decline calls. When a client clicks ‘Let’s Chat Now’ on your profile/widget, we’ll send you an SMS and email. We’ll tell you their name, the chat topic, and what you’ll earn.

Can I use Pay Per Minute software as a language tutor?

Absolutely! By offering language tutoring to students and being paid per minute, you can get paid for the exact time you’re teaching and not have to worry about going under or over time in your tutoring session.

Is It Safe To Use Pay Per Minute Software?

Yes, it is safe to use Pay Per Minute Software. All payments are handled by the payment provider and there is no way for anyone to steal your credit card details.

What are alternatives to Pay Per Minute software?

If you’re not sure about the business model of having someone book a session, validate their credit card then have their card charged at the end of the session for the session duration, you might want to look at the calendar scheduling software options above. Using these options means that people book and pay for a set period of time and you have extra certainty knowing that the full payment has been made prior to your call.
